KU's Graham, Wichita State's Shamet nominated for Wooden Award

LAWRENCE, KS (KCTV) -

Kansas Jayhawks guard Devonte Graham and Wichita State's Landry Shamet made the Top 25 for the John R. Wooden Award. 

Shamet, who played high school basketball at Park Hill in Kansas City, averages 16.1 points for the Shockers. He's shooting 55.2 percent from the field, including 52.7 percent from three. He also averages 4.7 assists and 2.9 rebounds a game. 

Graham is averaging 18.1 points, 7.5 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 2 steals a game.

He's the only player in the country to average that amount of points, assists, rebounds and steals a game. 

Both Wichita State and Kansas are in the Top 15, as the Shockers are ranked fifth and the Jayhawks are 12th in this week's poll.
