A former teacher and coach at Olathe South High School has pleaded guilty to having an unlawful sexual relationship with a student.

Michael J. Jasiczek, 42, was charged in Johnson County District Court in June 2017.

Court documents say that, between Jan. 1 and May 3 of 2017, he engaged in unlawful sexual relations with three students who were over the age of 16 years old and were enrolled at the school where he was teaching.

Jasiczek coached football and taught science at Olathe South for about 12 years.

He received an award in 2013 for inspiring his student sociology club to help the Salvation Army with charitable work.

He is scheduled for sentencing in March.
