$25K in tools stolen from local work site

Posted: Updated:

Police are searching for $25,000 worth of tools that were stolen from a local work site.

Jose Pecina says someone made off with nail guns, air compressors and sprayers.

Pecina and his crew have been at a home off Ward Parkway for nearly two months. On Wednesday, 14 members were told they wouldn't be able to work because the tools were stolen.

"I just wish the people who stole know the impact of what they did to me, my employees," he said. "We're not going to be able to work today. There are guys that'll be sitting at home and kids to feed and families to feed. This is really tough."

If you have any information about the theft, contact the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
