Police identify man killed in crash at 34th, State in KCK

KANSAS CITY, KS (KCTV) -

Police in Kansas City, KS, have identified the man who was killed in a car crash on Sunday.

Officers responded at about 4:08 p.m. to an injury accident in the 3400 block of State Avenue.

When they arrived, officers found a black sport-utility vehicle and a tan pick-up truck involved in a two-vehicle crash.

Police say two men were inside the SUV and that it was traveling east on State and turning north onto N 34th Street when the truck, traveling west on State, hit them.

The driver of the SUV died at the scene of the crash and the passenger was taken to an area hospital in critical condition. The driver of the pick-up truck was also transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.

Police have identified the driver as Tommie L. Baker, 44, of Kansas City, KS.
