Citizen of Mexico sentenced to 46 months for smuggling liquid methamphetamine into Kansas

KANSAS CITY, KS (KCTV) -

A citizen of Mexico man has been sentenced to 46 months in federal prison for his role in smuggling more than 1,000 pounds of liquid methamphetamine into Kansas City, KS, U.S. Attorney Tom Beall announced Thursday.

Yoan Alejandro Castillo-Zamora, 31, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.

Federal agents watched him and others at a business in Kansas City, KS, unload liquid methamphetamine from a fuel tank on a semi-truck into five-gallon buckets. They loaded the buckets into a white Dodge Caravan.

Castillo-Zamora was arrested on Jan. 13, 2017.
