Olathe police arrest man wanted for homicide in Wichita

(KWCH) - The Olathe Police Department arrested a man suspected of killing a woman found dead in a Wichita home.

Police found the woman dead in the 2200 block of N. Parkridge in west Wichita early Tuesday morning.

Late Monday night, Wichita police say they were contacted by Andover police who said they found some of the woman's property in Andover.

Wichita officers went to the woman's home to return the property around 10:30 Monday night, but were not able to make contact with her.

A few hours later, the Olathe Police Department contacted Wichita police after they found a 37-year-old man with the woman's car and more of her belongings.

Investigators say the woman died of blunt force trauma. Police believe the man and the woman are boyfriend and girlfriend.

Investigators say there was one child who as not at home when the murder happened. This is the 27th homicide in Wichita this year.
