BONNER SPRINGS, KS (KCTV) -

A threat of violence caused concern at a pair of metro school districts  Monday morning.

Kansas City, KS police are investigating an online threat by a Turner High School student to shoot up the school. Police have identified the student and determined the threat was not credible.

The same threat was also shared in Bonner Springs. The school district says police there determined there is no danger.

"The message originated in another school district  - a student in that district threaten to 'shoot up' their school. This message was copied and shared as a threat against Bonner Springs, but it was ultimately a threat against another school district. Police in that district are now handling the situation," the Bonner Springs School District said in written statement.

Classes in the district will continue as normal as they investigate the matter.
