Police release identity of man killed on Meyer, 71 Highway

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

Police are investigating after a man was found dead from gunfire inside a vehicle that had wrecked in the area of Meyer and 71 Highway.

Officers responded to the area just after midnight on Monday morning to an injury accident call. 

On Wednesday, the victim was identified as Kendrick Anderson, 27. 

The car hit a concrete barrier on the southbound side of 71 Highway.

The victim was declared dead on scene. Police found the man inside the wrecked car and said he had been shot several times.

Authorities are working to gather a description of the suspect or suspects involved in the shooting. Several witnesses were in the area at the time of the shooting.
