Shooting at party injures 2 in Independence

INDEPENDENCE, MO (KCTV) -

Independence police are investigating after two people were shot overnight. 

The shooting happened at 12:58 a.m. in the 11300 block of E. Highridge Drive. 

Two people were shot during an altercation at a large party.

One of the victims has been treated and released. Police said the other victim is still in the hospital, but they don't know what condition that person is in. 

There were numerous witnesses.
