JACKSON COUNTY, MO (KCTV) -

A man has been sentenced to 12 years in prison after pleading guilty to a series of burglaries in Northeast Kansas City.

Robert L. Brown Jr., 44, was sentenced on Friday for a series of burglaries in KC. That includes break-ins in 2015 in the neighborhood of Scarritt Renaissance.

Neighborhood leaders and others worked with KC police to apprehend Brown after they noticed a burglary pattern in the historic neighborhood.

Brown agreed to plead guilty to four burglary cases and he was sentenced on Friday as part of that plea agreement.
