KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

Kansas City police confirm that human remains were uncovered by construction crews in downtown on Monday.

The bones were discovered in the area of 18th and McGee streets. The Jackson County Medical Examiner and archaeologists are investigating. 

Police are unsure how they got there or how old they are. They’re estimating the bones could be anywhere from 80-100 years old.
