A 24-year-old man in Independence has been charged in connection to a fatal two-vehicle crash that happened on Truman Road at Baker Drive.

Carl-Dakota A. Young, 24, faces a Class B felony of driving while intoxicated.

The crash happened at about 4:30 a.m. on Saturday.

A 2015 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck was traveling west on Truman Road when it crossed the center line and struck an eastbound 2004 Ford Focus head-on.
