OLATHE, KS (KCTV) -

Police investigating the case of a couple found dead in an Olathe home believe that the man fatally shot his wife before turning the handgun on himself.

Investigators say they found the 36-year-old Amy Mabion and 36-year-old Philip Mabion wounded in their home in the 24200 block of West 109th Terrace shortly before 1:30 p.m. Monday.

Officers say Amy Mabion died at the scene, and Philip Mabion died later at a hospital.

Police say they are seeking no suspects, and that the investigation continues.

Court records show Amy Mabion had filed for divorce and asked for an ex-parte order last month.

Neighbors agreed not to speak with the media out of respect for the family, but told KCTV5 News off camera that Amy Mabion was an incredible mother.  The couple had three young children, who are now staying with family.

Amy Mabion's celebration of life service will be on Saturday at Legacy Christian Church, 10150 Antioch Rd., in Overland Park.

"This service is to celebrate Amy's beautiful soul. She made others feel happy and cared for with her constant optimism and gorgeous smile. Her world revolved around her three amazing children and family," Amy Mabion's sister said in a Facebook post.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her children's GoFundMe.
