KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

Authorities have taken one person into custody after they say a stolen vehicle rammed a police vehicle and then led officers on a chase early Monday morning.

Raytown police say the chase started after an officer was investigating a suspicious vehicle in the 5200 block of Blue Ridge Boulevard.

The vehicle was reported stolen in Kansas City, MO.

The suspect rammed a police cruiser and then ran from officers.

Police chased the suspect and partially disabled the vehicle with a deflation device.

The suspect was arrested after a short standoff on Interstate 70 at The Paseo.

Officers say the stolen vehicle was a civilian vehicle and not a police car.

The suspect was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
