MISSION HILLS, KS (KCTV) -

Authorities pursued three suspects across state lines early Wednesday morning after an armed robbery on the Missouri side.

Officers say the chase started after they received a call about an armed street robbery in the area of 12th Street and Main Street at about 3 a.m.

The victim in the robbery was walking when a black man approached him and hit him over the head with a pistol. The suspect took money from the victim and then got into a black sport utility vehicle.

A few minutes later, a police officer located the SUV. The SUV took off at a high rate of speed, starting a police chase.

Police say they chased the SUV from Kansas City, MO to Kansas City, KS and into Prairie Village, KS before it all ended in Mission Hills, KS near 63rd Street and Verona Road.

When the SUV stopped, the driver tried to run away on foot but a police dog ran after him. All three people inside the vehicle were arrested at the scene.

Police say the SUV was not involved in the robbery but the driver was arrested in connection to an outstanding felony warrant and having narcotics.

Officers say although the chase stretched across several cities, no one was hurt.
