Witnesses: Homicide victim was shot in front yard at 6th, Cleveland

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

Witnesses say a man who died after being shot was in the front yard when it happened.

On Friday around 8:15 p.m., officers went to a house in the 3800 block of East. 6th St. on a call about a shooting.

When officers arrived in the area of 6th and Cleveland Avenue, they found that a man had suffered life-threatening injuries. 

The man was taken to a local hospital and was pronounced dead there. 

Witnesses said the man was in the front yard when an unknown person shot him. 

This was the second homicide to happen on Friday night. The first was at a car wash in the area of Independence and Topping, where police found the victim in a car. The third one was 2500 block of Van Brunt Blvd., where a man was found dead on a front porch.
