RAYTOWN, MO (KCTV) -

Smashed cars and broken street signs mark the trail of destruction left after a police pursuit through Raytown.

Witnesses say it started with a stolen pickup.

The truck smashed into TJ McGill's car on the way down Raytown Road.

"He hit all the way from the front to the back," McGill said. "This just crazy man, just crazy."

Bresette was was heading to lunch when he saw the chase began.

"He ran into a black truck up there, hopped the curb into the parking lot, started booking it down the road," Bresette said.

The chase ended when the suspect crashed into the parking lot of the Raytown Schools Administration building. Three staff cars were damaged and the district placed the building on lockdown.

No one was seriously hurt and the crash didn't damage the administration building.
