Man relocated, charged after stealing vehicle with toddler inside in KCK

WYANDOTTE COUNTY, KS (KCTV) -

The man arrested after he and a woman stole a vehicle with a child inside now faces criminal charges.

Tyler Letzig has been charged with felony kidnapping.

Authorities have transferred Letzig from Leavenworth County jail to Wyandotte County jail.

Letzig was arrested in Leavenworth County after he and a woman stole a vehicle from the Valero Gas Station at Seventh Street and Reynolds Avenue in Kansas City, KS. A three-year-old girl was sleeping in the back seat of the car when it was stolen.

The young girl was eventually rescued at 190th Street and Evans Street in Tonganoxie, KS, just north of the Interstate 70 Kansas Turnpike and south of US 40 Highway.

Letzig is being held on $100,00 bond.
