OVERLAND PARK, KS (KCTV) -

Many people love working out to their favorite fitness videos.

Fitness videos are available for almost all abilities, but a major segment of the population has been left out.

Now, a local fitness studio, the wife of a Kansas City Royals Player and Variety KC are working to change that.

The video, set to be filmed by Sarah Duffy and Variety KC, will be shot at Corbin Park Fusion Fitness.

The video will feature children with special needs and will be designed for kids with special needs.

Variety KC kids gathered in Overland Park, KS Monday morning to make that a reality, working out their muscles for a film crew.

Led by Fusion Fitness Owner Darby Brender, with the help of Sarah Duffy, wife of Royals pitcher, Danny Duffy, the group got together to send the message, fitness is for everyone.

“It's important to include everybody in exercise and make everybody feel like it's something they can accomplish,” Brender said.

“Working out is important,” Duffy said. “Taking care of yourself is important so if these kids can do it, anybody can do it.”

Rachel Mast is a senior at Olathe South High School. Her favorite exercise is jumping jacks.

“It's amazing,” Mast said. “A bunch of exercise to watch.”

There was an exercise for everyone in the video, including weight lifting.

At the end of the morning, spirits were truly lifted.

The video is expected to be ready for distribution by the end of August.
