KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

If you were able to deal with Sunday’s heat, you’ll make it through Monday.

StormTrack5 Meteorologist Ronelle Williams says highs will reach the low 90s under mostly sunny skies.

Temperatures will be a degree or two hotter on Tuesday with dangerous heat settling in by Wednesday. Highs will be in the mid-to-upper 90s Wednesday through Saturday with feels-like temperatures as high as 112 degrees.

An excessive heat watch goes into effect Tuesday and continues through Saturday.

"There’s a slight chance of rain and thunderstorms late Tuesday night and early Wednesday. Otherwise, it’ll be mainly dry through the week," Williams said.
