LEE'S SUMMIT, MO -

A motorcyclist died early Saturday morning after colliding with a vehicle on Northeast Colbern Road in Lee's Summit, according to the Lee's Summit Police Department.

The performance motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Colbern Road at high speeds when it ran into a vehicle turning left from the Mo. 291 Highway ramp to westbound Colbern Road. Police said they believe the motorcyclist may have failed to yield to the vehicle turning on a green light, but that the investigation is ongoing.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, and the driver of the other vehicle suffered minor injuries, police said.

The man who died in this crash has been identified as 34-year-old Ryan A. Prince from Raymore.
