KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

On Friday, family and friends of a missing woman will be gathering to pray for her safe return.

The event will be held in the parking lot of Sunrise Christian Assembly near 77th Street and Troost Avenue.

Eighteen-year-old Desirea Ferris, of Liberty, MO, has been missing since May.

The Ferris family is still looking for answers, and praying that she comes home safe.

Her mother Patti Ferris says she’s certain foul play was involved and that’s why the family has hired a private investigator. She says her daughter was with friends that are not good people, that have weapons and criminal backgrounds.

A private investigator is looking into the evidence and wants people to be on the lookout for Ferris.

The family is organizing another search for Ferris on Saturday.

Anyone with information about Ferris is asked to call the TIPS Hotline (816) 474-TIPS.
