LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Meredith) -- A Denny's customer picked up a $405 dinner tab for a group of firefighters, but the impact of her kind gesture is beyond priceless.

About 25 firefighters stopped by the restaurant in Southern California after battling a wildfire on Saturday, the Colton Fire Department wrote in a Facebook post.

While they were eating, the woman, who asked to remain anonymous, told staff she wanted to pay for all of the firefighters' meals.

Not only did she pick up the $405 dinner tab, including a $50 tip, she also shelled out an additional $100 for dessert.

The department posted an image of the receipt, thanking the woman for her support.

Capt. Tome Bellis told the San Bernardino Sun acts of kindness from the community are not unusual, but always appreciated.

“It happens all the time,” DeBellis said, “more so when we’re on big fires. People just anonymously donate money to cover the bill. They want to do what they can to help. In a small community like Colton, it happens quite frequently.”
