1 killed, 1 injured in shooting at 99th, Holmes

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

One person was killed and another was left with life-threatening injuries after a shooting in Kansas City overnight.

At 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, officers went to the area of E. 99th Street and Holmes Road on a call about a disturbance. 

That call was quickly upgraded to a shooting. 

When officers arrived, they found out that two people had been shot. 

Both people were taken to local hospitals in private vehicles. 

One victim had life-threatening injuries and the other did not. 

The victim with life-threatening injuries was declared deceased after arriving at the hospital.

Later in the day on Saturday, the victim who died was identified as 24-year-old Dasean J. Davis from Kansas City.

No suspect information is available at this time.
