KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

Authorities in Kansas City chased a man, who carjacked another person, through the city and across the state line early Friday morning.

The chase started before 4:40 a.m. at an unknown location in Kansas City, MO.

Officers say the chase started after the man was driving a stolen white KIA in the area of 9th Street and Spruce Avenue that matched the description of a vehicle taken in a carjacking.

The man refused to stop and led police on a chase that stretched into Kansas City, KS and then back into Missouri.

Police say the man went as fast as 90 miles per hour during the chase.

The chase ended about 5:05 a.m. near Seventh Street and Pennsylvania Avenue.

Police say they were able to catch the man after he lost speed due to low tire pressure.

During the chase, the suspect covered ground on several metro highways, including Interstate 635, Interstate 70, Interstate 35 and Highway 9.

One person was arrested at the scene.

Police do not know if the man was under the influence of alcohol.

The stolen vehicle was towed from the scene.
