JOHNSON COUNTY, KS (KCTV) -

A man found guilty of raping two 7-year-old children in 2013 has been ordered to spend at least 50 years in prison.

Eric Vincent Landeo was sentenced Wednesday in Johnson County District Court for the convictions of rape of a child and aggravated indecent liberties of a child.

Landeo received two life sentences with a mandatory minimum imprisonment of 25 years. The sentences will be run consecutively with each other, making him ineligible for parole for 50 years.

The charges stem from June 21, 2013, when Landeo sexually abused two children who were seven years old at the time. The abuse happened in Shawnee.

Landeo was found guilty of these charges by a jury on May 17.
