KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

A flight from a major airline had to make an emergency landing in Kansas City on Sunday morning.

Frontier Airlines Flight 722 from Denver, CO to Washington, D.C., was diverted to Kansas City International Airport due to a broken windshield.

The flight left Denver at 7:05 a.m. Mountain Time and landed at KCI at 9:43 a.m. Central Time.

After repairs, the plane left KCI and went back to Denver, landing at 4:09 a.m. Central Time Monday morning. It will go from Denver to its original destination of Washington, D.C., at 8:10 a.m. Central Time.
