ELLIS COUNTY, KS (KCTV) -

Authorities in Ellis County, KS have canceled an AMBER Alert for two young boys who were taken from a vehicle early Wednesday morning.

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation says both Cadenn McDowell, 1, and Mason McDowell, 3, have been found and are safe.

A KBI spokesperson said Bryce Jay McDowell, 33, ran a vehicle off the road and forcefully removed the two boys from the car and from their mother.

Authorities say Cadenn was wearing "Cars" pajamas and Mason was wearing "Mickey Mouse" pajamas.

McDowell is the boy's father.

Police say McDowell has been taken into custody.

The children were believed to be in danger.

Police said McDowell is described as 5-foot, 8-inches tall, weighs 182 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. They say he is known to carry a rifle but it is unknown if he had it with him when the boys were kidnapped.
