Bomb threat closes Mizzou Recreation Center

COLUMBIA, MO (KCTV) -

A bomb threat closed the Mizzou Recreation Center on Friday night.

University police received an anonymous report of a bomb threat to the the Recreation Center. 

The university evacuated the building and University of Missouri Police are searching the building for explosives with a K-9 team. 

They added that there was nothing to indicate that the threat was credible, but precautions were being taken and that the building would be searched. 

No signs of an explosive device were found, but the threat is still under investigation. 

Campus activity had returned to normal by Saturday morning.
