Gov. Greitens orders flags to half-staff in Lafayette Co. to honor firefighter

LAFAYETTE COUNTY, MO (KCTV) -

Governor Eric Greitens has ordered flags to be flown at half-staff on Monday to honor a firefighter who passed away recently. 

Firefighter Jeffery M. Sanders of the Mayview Fire Protection District died on June 19 in a car accident that happened while serving citizens.

Under the Governor's order, U.S. and Missouri flags at state buildings in Lafayette County will fly at half-staff from sunrise until sunset on June 26.

That is the day the funeral services for Sanders will take place.
