KANSAS CITY, KS (KCTV) -

Police were engaged in a standoff on Friday in the 600 block of Nebraska Avenue in Kansas City, Kansas.

Police had been watching the house after receiving information that two suspects were inside.

At about 11:47 a.m., one person was taken into custody without incident while they were leaving the house.

Officers were sure that there was another person inside who was refusing to come out. So, the standoff began around 12:30 p.m.

It ended around 4:20 p.m. after hours of negotiation. The suspect left the house without further incident and was taken into custody.

Police say there was an armed robbery on June 10 at 10:35 p.m. at the Legends shopping center. Two suspects were identified and one was taken into custody at that time.

Police say the other suspect in that robbery was believed to be at the house that was part of the standoff on Nebraska Avenue.
