KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

Authorities in Kansas City had to pull a vehicle out of Brush Creek after a driver was hit and lost control Friday morning.

The accident happened about 7 a.m.

Police say a man was driving north on US 71 Highway when his vehicle was rear-ended causing him to lose control, drive off the bridge, down a hill and into the creek. They say the vehicle slowed down as it neared the creek and the driver was able to jump out and onto the grass.

Authorities say they do have some information about the vehicle that caused the driver to lose control, but could not make the information public due to their investigation.
