(MEREDITH) – A West Texas family will be looking before sitting after they discovered a rattlesnake in the toilet of their bathroom.

But that’s not all. After discovering one snake, they soon found more. 23 more to be exact. 13 were inside their cellar while another ten were underneath the house.

Big Country Snake Removal posted about the story on Facebook with the unsettling message:

“How is this possible? It's actually quite simple; rattlesnake are secretive and can be very cryptic- They rely heavily on their camouflage. This is simply how they survive. Just because you don't see them doesn't mean they aren't there....”

The post, which was uploaded on January 30, has acquired 4,000 shares and 900 comments.
