PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) -

A man who led police on a wild and dangerous chase Tuesday afternoon died after his vehicle rolled over and crashed on Interstate 17.

The Department of Public Safety on Wednesday identified the suspect as Bradley Burton Moore, 29. DPS Trooper Kameron Lee said  Moore is a resident of Yuma but had been living in the Valley recently.

Officials from multiple agencies pursued Moore as he drove a stolen truck through Valley roads and along freeways for about an hour.

DPS confirms the white work truck was stolen from a construction site in Gilbert, near Cooper and Guadalupe roads.

Kimbrall Electric confirms the truck belongs to the company, but had no further comment.

Moore's speeds reached almost 100 miles an hour as he sped north on the 101 toward Scottsdale, then headed north on I-17.

Officials from multiple agencies followed the truck for some time north on the I-17.

Eventually, Moore ran over spikes in the road, lost control of the truck and went over the guardrail near Camp Verde. He was ejected in the crash.

DPS says Moore fought with emergency responders when they first arrived at the scene, but died a short time later.

I-17 northbound was closed at State Route 169 at milepost 278, but the road was reopened shortly before 4 p.m.
