Piper School District investigates after discovery of racist social media post

KANSAS CITY, KS (KCTV) -

The Piper School District is conducting an investigation after it was made aware of a social media posting featuring a threat to African-Americans. 

The post included a picture with the words “Kill All Blacks” on it, along with a photo of a Ku Klux Klan hood. 

The district, in a statement, said it conducted the investigation immediately after Piper High School administration was alerted to the note. 

“Threatening or racially offensive language of this nature will be treated with an attitude of zero tolerance at Piper High School,” the district said in a statement.

This morning, Piper High School administration was alerted to a posting on social media that contained offensive and threatening racial language. 

An aggressive and thorough investigation was conducted immediately. 

Threatening or racially offensive language of this nature will be treated with an attitude of zero tolerance at Piper High School. Appropriate procedures, policies, and consequences will be enforced as swiftly as possible in order to preserve the safety of all students at PHS.
