GARDEN CITY, KS (KCTV) -

Some residents near Gardner had some fun at the expensive over concerns of a mountain lion roaming the community.

In a Facebook post, Gardner police said they set up trail cameras in order to track any activity in the area.

While police did not see any mountain lion activity on the trail cameras, it did capture something a little more interesting.

Residents caught wind of the cameras and proceeded to dress up as a gorilla, lions and other monsters.

"We would like to sincerely thank the persons responsible as it made our day when we pulled up what we expected to be hundreds of pictures of coyotes, foxes and raccoons," police said in a post. "Thank you to the citizens who noticed the cameras. Your effort and sense of humor are greatly appreciated."
