KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

Multiple reports indicate Kansas City Royals starting pitcher Edinson Volquez is set to take his talents to South Beach.

The Miami Herald was the first to report that Volquez is close to signing a 2-year, $22-million contract with the Miami Marlins.

In two seasons with the Royals, Volquez was 23-20 with an ERA of 4.43.

He started two games for the Royals in the 2015 World Series.

While he did not earn a decision in either game, he finished the World Series with a 3.00 ERA.
