KANSAS CITY, KS (KCTV) -

More than three months after an irresponsible driver killed a woman in a KCK wreck, police have a man in custody charged with the crime.

The fatal collision happened near 18th Street and Kansas Avenue on Aug. 16.

On Monday, police arrested David Wayne Colvin, 45, on a charge of manslaughter. He was arrested in Shawnee on the Wyandotte County charge. His bond is $200,000

Authorities said at the time of the wreck Colvin ran a red light after a trooper tried to stop him for a traffic violation and smashed into another car.

Janet Eimer, 66, was in that other car and died from her injuries the next day.
