KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

A man has minor injuries after a drive-by shooting in Kansas City Monday morning.

It happened about 9:05 a.m. near the 5800 block of Brooklyn Avenue.

Police say the suspect drove by the man and shot him in the arm as he was walking near a church in the area.

A bystander found a police officer in the area and told the officer that a man had been shot. The officer came and met with the victim in that same area.

Police say the man's injuries are non-life-threatening.

Officers also say it appears the man knows the suspect.

The exact location of the shooting is unknown at this time.
