KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

Neighbors are on edge after shots rang out on their street.

Those in the neighborhood say they're frustrated and scared after waking up to gunshots. While police investigate, neighbors say this is the second time violence has shaken the street in the past three months.

A home in 8600 block of East 114th Street was shot at nearly 15 times Thursday morning, according to police.

Neighbors say they woke up to the sound of bullets being pumped into the home, all while eight people, four of them children, were inside.

Fortunately, everyone scrambled to safety and avoided injury.

Back in August, the same house was targeted. Again, nobody was hurt. Police are now searching for answers.

"No idea as to the motivation. The family is absolutely devastated, and they're afraid,” Sgt. Kari Thompson said.

If you know anything, you're urged to call the police.
