PRAIRIE VILLAGE, KS (KCTV) -

Police are looking for the thieves who stole a trailer and grill from a Prairie Village grocery store worth more than $8,000.

It happened about 10 a.m. on Nov. 4 outside the Hy-Vee at 7620 State Line Rd. The grill-smoker combo was stored behind the store. Police say someone drove right on in, cut the lock and towed it away.

Police want others to be on the lookout for an early 2000s Chevy Silverado 2500. It has two different sets of black stickers on the tailgate which read P106 and 20372. There’s damage above the right rear wheel well.

Detectives say they already have several leads, and they are confident they’ll find the culprit.

“There are so many avenues that we can go down to be able to find people that it's very difficult to get away with these types of crimes," Capt. Wes Lovett said.

If you've seen the truck, please call police at 913-642-5151 or the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477.
