KANSAS CITY, KS (KCTV) -

A Kansas City, KS woman has been charged in connection to a string of grocery store fires.

Tahmekah Henson, 40, is accused of setting fires at three Wyandotte County stores.

Court records say Henson used the fires to allegedly steal items from the store.

Three stores were hit Friday, including the Save-A-Lot at 28th Street and State Avenue, another one at 21st Street and Metropolitan Avenue and a third attempted fire at the Happy Foods off 55th Street and Leavenworth Road.

Documents state the suspect stole several meat items during the confusion.

If convicted, she could face at least five years in prison and a $250,000 fine for each count.
