KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

A Kansas City woman is accused of shooting an individual and hitting a second person with a baseball bat in a fight that allegedly stemmed from an argument about a cell phone charger.

Louisa Occhipinto, 54, has been charged with first-degree assault and armed criminal action.

Kansas City police reported to a shooting Nov. 14 on the 6100 block of North Kennsington Court.

According to court documents, Occhipinto accused an individual of stealing her cell phone charger. Then, an argument ensued and she retrieved a metal baseball bat.

A witness told police she stepped in between Occhipinto and the shooting victim. She was allegedly struck with the baseball bat after she moved in between the two other parties.

After a brief fight, court records state Occhipinto shot the victim who had just walked up the stairs.
