KANSAS CITY, KS (KCTV) -

A string of grocery store fires in KCK has police asking for help, taking tips from people who frequent the area.

Three stores were hit Friday, including the Save-A-Lot at 28th Street and State Avenue, another one at 21st Street and Metropolitan Avenue and a third attempted fire at the Happy Foods off 55th Street and Leavenworth Road. Officials say someone tried to start a fire inside the store but took off when noticed.

The fires all happened during store hours while customers and employees are inside.
