KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

Kansas City police are investigating a shooting that left a man in critical condition Thursday morning.

It happened about 3:30 a.m. 

Police are investigating two scenes.

Police say a man was shot, while driving, and then nearly drove his car into a house. The car came to rest in the yard of the home.

The first, at Scarritt Avenue and N. Bellaire Avenue, is where police believe the shooting happened.

The second, at Scarritt Avenue and N. Oakley Avenue, is where the car was found.

The man was taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds to his chest and leg.
