KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

A crash left a bus on its side on I-70 and Blue Ridge Boulevard.

Police say an SUV was cut off and ran into a pickup. That pickup then hit a bus that transports people with disabilities.

The bus is contracted through the city and often carries people who use wheelchairs. Thankfully, just one passenger was on board Wednesday morning.

But it was a scary situation to get them out. Bystanders had to bust open the window of the bus to remove that person.

He was sent to the hospital to be checked out, but he should be OK.

The driver of the bus also walked away unharmed. She said she was extremely shaken.

The driver of the SUV and the truck also walked away unharmed. But the huge back up heading westbound into the city caused delays for about an hour and half during the morning commute.
