KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker has dismissed the remaining rape cases pending against Bernard Jackson.

Baker said the decision was made considering the fact that Jackson, known as the Waldo Rapist, is already behind bars for life in Jackson County.

“We are in agreement with the victims in these cases that justice has been served, knowing that Jackson will spend the rest of his life in prison,“ Baker said.

Jackson terrorized women in the Waldo area of Kansas City for years in the 1980s .

He’s serving 18 consecutive life sentences, which include seven counts of rape, seven counts of sodomy and four counts of robbery.
