Firefighter injured while battling tool shed fire in KCMO

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

A firefighter was injured while fighting a fire in Kansas City, MO Tuesday morning.

It happened about 5 a.m. in the 4900 block of Bellefontaine Avenue.

Fire officials at the scene say one male firefighter was hurt during the firefight but did not say how badly.

Crews say the fire started in a tool shed and then spread to a transformer causing the transformer to explode.

Fire crews say the area will be without power for at least a few hours.
