RIVERSIDE, MO (KCTV) -

With cooler weather approaching, the City of Riverside wants to ensure all those in the community who need a warm coat and blanket will have them.

“Unfortunately, as we all know, hardships do occur and the City of Riverside does not want anyone to go without the protection of a coat or blanket in their time of need,” the city said.

These new and gently used coats and blankets will be distributed at the Riverside Police Department in the Jefferson Taylor Memorial Training Room located at 2990 NW Vivion Road, Riverside, MO 64150 on Thursday, Oct. 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The City of Riverside encourages those who know of someone that is in need of a new or gently used coat or blanket to direct him or her to this free coat and blanket distribution before colder weather moves in.
