KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

On Saturday, a woman was shot and a man refused to leave the house she was found in.

Around 1:17 p.m., officers got a call about a shooting in the 5000 block of E. 41st Terrace.

When officers arrived, they found a woman who had an apparent gunshot wound.

The woman was taken to a local hospital in serious condition with life-threatening injuries.
